Parameters

span ReadOnlySpanChar: The first sequence to compare.
other String: The second sequence to compare or null.

Return Value

Int32
The length of the common prefix shared by the two spans. If there's no shared prefix, 0 is returned.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type ReadOnlySpanChar. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).

Remarks

The method performs an ordinal character comparison.
